Bath Bar soaps are $3.50 per bar or 4 bars for $12 ($2 savings-makes each bar only $3!)
Scroll to bottom for available soaps including Holiday & Christmas Limited Edition Soaps! (updated 11-15-2010)
We use ONLY essential oils NOT fragrance oils. We use only natural colorings NO chemical colorings!
All but 1 our soaps are started with a rich goat-milk/olive oil/coconut
oil recipe that we’ve designed.
We now offer 1 soap that is made without any animal products (Coconut Milk Soap-see below in "available soaps"). Additions are added to each soap to make
it unique (only all-natural colorings and essential oils used).
Each
Bath bar is
cut at about 5 1/2 oz however over the drying
stage the soap will shrink a bit as it becomes more dense and well-cured. Soap is like fine wine….the longer it
ages the better it becomes! It may
look a little smaller, but will last much longer.
All our
soaps are made in small batches by hand and most are swirled so the coloring
will not be the same from batch to batch.
Each bar is hand-cut and hand-beveled (for nice smooth edges). Each bar develops it’s own unique
appearance.
We feel this adds to the appeal of
homemade soaps and that you can be sure of a high-quality product vs a factory
made cookie-cutter soap (which incidentally is stripped of glycerine to be
re-sold to companies to make shampoo, conditioner, and lotions. This leaves those store-bought
detergent-bars to be drying to the skin and causes the need for separate
shampoos, conditioners, and lotions!) Most people tell us
that they cut down on the amount of lotion they need after using our soaps
because our soaps are moisturizing to the skin. ALSO-did you
know that these are full-body bars?
They can be used for shampoo/conditioner
too!
1 bar for soap, shampoo, conditioner = $$ savings (and less
packaging)!
Our soap labels are made from recycled newsprint. If you are buying soap as a gift and
would like colored cardstock instead please just let us
know.
Available Soaps:
NOTE: All but 1 of our soaps start out with
the same rich conditioning base recipe made mostly from pure olive oil and
food-grade coconut oil (you could but we don’t recommend eating the soap). A small amount of lard and soy oil are
added for making a nice hard bar with great lather. We then use LOTS of goat milk for great
skin conditioning. The 1 recipe that is different is the coconut milk bar does
not include any animal products, so no lard and we used coconut milk instead of
goat milk, along with some different vegetable oils.
Each bar then has different
essential oils and herbs or spices, etc. added.
To save room
in the descriptions, I’ve only listed the different additions that vary from our
typical base recipe.
2010 HOLIDAY SOAPS-LIMITED QUANTITIES-order early!
Chocolate Mint Soap-This soap should have a disclaimer printed on it that says, “Don’t eat the soap!”. Made with real dark chocolate for a beautiful dark-brown swirl. Lots of cocoa butter and a little peppermint essential oil added for a delicious chocolate-mint scent.
that reminds me of Grandma’s house and family at Christmas-time. Parsley added for green swirls.
NEW for 2010 Christmas
Season!
Frankincense & Myrrh Soap-warm, rich, spicy aroma produced by frankincense & myrrh essential
oils. African red palm oil added to produce swirls of color—golden brown of
course. This is now a personal
favorite soap!

Allure Soap |
This fascinating scent is attractive to both men and women. Subtle scent with spicy undertones. Ylang Ylang, patchouli, clove, and lavender essential oils. Coloring is made using curry powder. |

Simply Pure Moisturizing Soap-Unscented (aka our Baby Soap
|
This luxury
conditioning bar has many skin nourishing ingredients in it. If
you have a need for a really emollient bar (dry skin, eczema, psoriasis,
rosacea, etc.) then you should give this bar a try-honey makes this bar
extra-emollient and gives a slight “nutty” scent, but this
bar has no essential oils or colorings added.
This makes a wonderfully gentle soap that is perfect for Baby Soap or
for just babying your “adult”
skin! |
|
Coconut Milk Soap |
Made with All vegetable
oils-NO animal products-We designed this
recipe with coconut oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil and olive oils
making up the base. Then LOTS
of coconut milk is added for a rich emollient. Luxurious shea butter and cocoa
butter are added to give this bar a rich creamy lather. Castor oil infused with alkanet
root and parsley are added for color. Patchoili, eucalyptus, & lime
essential oils are added, however we’ve found that the scent from the
coconut milk over-powers the “man soap” scent making it an almost
unnoticeable scent. |

Festival Soap SOLD OUT until Jan 2011 |

Lemongrass-Sage Soap |
Lemongrass and sage essential oils added. Coloring comes from paprika. The scent is simple citrus. |
|
Man Soap |
This is an interesting soap with great lather. I almost threw it out the first time I smelled it, but my husband LOVES it...it's actually one of his favorite scents. Just out of curiosity we started carrying it around doing "smell tests". Almost every woman that smelled it really didn't like it and EVERY man that smelled it REALLY liked it. So if you want a soap that you know your man will like, this is it! The unique scent was created by a blend of patchouli, eucalyptus, & lime essential oils. |
|
Minty Pooch-Great for man or beast (but NOT cats!). |
This is made with our same moisturizing base recipe for humans, but all the oils used are also great for dog’s skin and coat. This bar is lightly scented with peppermint, lavender, tea tree, and cedarwood essential oils. |
|
Rose Soap |
Smells like a light
breeze blowing past a rose bed. Ylang ylang, geranium, grapefruit,
and tea tree essential oils. Ground rosebuds added for color.
This soap is also anti-bacterial! Perfect for the kitchen sink as
well as the bath! Makes a
nice guest bath bar! |
|
Winter Tangerine |
This is a customer favorite and so even though we had intended on only carrying this one in the summer, based on customer request, we've decided to carry it year-round. However for soothing Winter-skin we’ve added cocoa butter. Tangerine essential oil gives this bar a light, uplifting citrus scent and an orange color created by using paprika. |
Accessories:
Mesh Soap Saver

Thank you for your order! Your purchase helps support our family farm. We also have a close relationship with a missionary in Haiti and a portion of your soap purchase goes toward supporting Christian Mission South Haiti.
Your soap was hand-made in a
small batch so that we can maintain a high-quality product. We use our own
created recipes that incorporate high amounts of olive oil and other natural
emollient additives like beeswax from a local bee keeper, natural cocoa butter,
and goat’s milk. We also use
essential oils and natural colorings from plants & herbs. We do not use any chemical fragrances or
artificial dyes for colorings. Because each batch of soap is
hand-made every bar is unique. Your
bar of soap is in economic, recycled packaging-usually newsprint. Gift wrapping is available upon
request.
Did you know
that your soap is a whole-body bar?
This means that it can be used for shampoo too! Hand-made soaps contain glycerine so are
very conditioning to the skin.
Store-bought deodorant bars (it can only be called soap if lye was
used) have the glycerine removed in order to be resold to place in other
products such as lotion, hair conditioner, etc. We think you’re going to really like the
feel of your skin after trying our hand-made soap! But if you’re not satisfied,
please let us know! We care for our customers and will do what we can to make it
right!
Taking care of your soap to
get the best value:
Because our soaps are made with a lot of olive oil, they can become soft
very quickly if left to sit in water!
Make sure to use a soap dish with slots or holes to allow the water to
drain or use a soap-saver bag and hang soap to dry. Another option if using a soap dish
without drain holes, is to place a small square sponge in the dish and then
place the soap on top of the sponge.
Just remember to squeeze out the sponge from
time-to-time.
